SolaVida has hosted public gatherings on climate change and clean energy across the country with a wide variety of partners for more than a decade. That work has added new directions in recent years. One thread is the monthly ‘Hope & Joy’ Series. Another thread is built around live, in-person “Celebration of Showing Up” storytelling events.
Previously, we worked with organizations in New England and Colorado to bring together groups of people who might not otherwise be engaged in conversations about climate change. Each event revolved around a film, followed by a panel discussion with the audience. Panels have consisted of documentary filmmakers, low income community advocates, scientists, sportspeople, legislators, and others.
